Things are tense at sea. To reduce or eliminate International Armed conflict over fisheries, the https://www.oceansfutures.org/ has created a strategy that can both protect the ocean and all its habitats as well as the communities that depend on the fishing industry.  

Ocean Futures Proposed Solutions:

• Increase the resources flowing to deterrence of IUU fishing (illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing) and to the enforcement of existing laws.

• Deploy, at scale, conservation and economic development solutions prioritizing support for blue foods systems.

• Build a new generation of diplomatic collaborations to counter IUU fishing from a multilateral perspective.
